Dover, Rollinsford, and South Berwick Lions Club Presents Inaugural Scholarship Awards at Dover High School
DOVER, NH – June 3, 2025 — The Dover, Rollinsford, and South Berwick Lions Club was honored to present its first-ever scholarship awards during the Dover High School Awards Ceremony on June 3rd. Representing the club and presenting the awards were members of the Lions Club Scholarship Committee: John Symington, Derek Arsenault, and June Pinkham.
“We were pleased with the response we had and hope that we receive even more applications in future years,” said John Symington. “It was a difficult decision, and we would love to be able to award scholarships to all the students who submitted a package.”
The recipients of this year’s scholarship awards were William Angers and Carson Conrad.
Both William and Carson are pursuing fields of study that reflect the mission and focus areas of Lions International, including vision, youth, disaster relief, humanitarian efforts, diabetes, childhood cancer, hunger, and the environment.
-
William Angers is studying Civil Engineering, a path closely connected to disaster relief and humanitarian efforts.
-
Carson Conrad is pursuing a degree in Agriculture, supporting initiatives related to diabetes, hunger, and environmental sustainability.
In addition to their academic pursuits, both students are actively involved in their communities, participate in school sports, serve as mentors, and maintain after-school jobs.
The Lions Club extends its warmest congratulations to William and Carson and looks forward to continuing this new tradition of supporting local youth in their educational journeys.
