Dover Holiday Parade Unveils Inaugural Holiday Ornament

The Dover Holiday Parade is adding a new tradition to this year’s festivities with the unveiling of its inaugural commemorative holiday ornament, inspired by the 2026 parade theme, “Yule Be Sorry: Holiday Mishaps and Bad Decisions Tinged with Regret.”

Created and sponsored by local artist Julia Nollet, the creative force behind Juno Creates, the limited-edition ornament captures the playful spirit of this year’s theme while giving community members a new way to support one of Dover’s favorite holiday traditions.

Ornaments are only $10 each. All proceeds from ornament sales will benefit the Dover Holiday Parade Fund, helping support the costs associated with bringing the annual community celebration to downtown Dover.

“We want to create something that people could take home, hang on their tree and enjoy year after year while supporting the parade,” said Parade Organizers. “This year’s theme gave us the perfect opportunity to have a little fun with the holidays and all those moments that don’t go exactly according to plan.”

The ornament marks the beginning of what organizers hope will become a new annual tradition, with a commemorative design celebrating each year’s Dover Holiday Parade theme.

Ornaments are available for purchase at the Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce or through the Cochecho Friends website at www.CochechoFriends.com 

The ornaments will also be featured during Apple Harvest Day on October 3, allowing festivalgoers to see this year’s design and support the Dover Holiday Parade while enjoying one of the city’s signature community events.
