    Dover Children’s Home is seeking a compassionate, highly skilled Residential Coordinator to join our dedicated team. This individual will work with youth ages 10- 21, their families and support networks, and community-based agencies to provide therapeutic interventions and support youth in healing from trauma. The Residential Coordinator will be responsible for providing daily supervision, coordination of safety and behavior, supervision of Youth Support Specialist and support for relief staff and interns, operational support, and maintaining strong administrative and financial practices.

    SUPERVISION

    • Provide formal monthly individual and monthly group supervision, 90-day evaluations, and annual performance evaluations for three Youth Support Specialists (Awake Overnight Shift).
    • Prepare for and attend weekly supervisions with the Youth Service Manager or Program Manager, as the supervisor for this role.
    • Provide in the moment oversight, training, support, and supervision of all staff on shift.

    TREATMENT SERVICES

    • Treat youth, families, colleagues, stakeholders, and community members with respect, empathy, and dignity at all times.
    • Provide and/or coordinate direct oversight and supervision of youth in care, while supporting safety and behavior.
    • Utilize safety plans, provide crisis intervention, and coordinate additional behavioral interventions as needed.
    • Collaborate with DCH’s coordination team to provide comprehensive and holistic treatment services for all youth in care by developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices and a trauma-informed approach.
    • Advocate for youth’s permanency goals and drive efforts within the youth’s reintegration plan in collaboration with the youth and their team.
    • Ensure consistency within day programming and program expectations through a trauma-informed lens.
    • Coordinate, supervise, and/or document the communication and visitation for youth with natural supports, mentors, State workers, and/or additional providers, in collaboration with the youth to honor youth voice and choice.
    • Develop, implement, and engage youth, families and/or supports in intentional and ongoing treatment-related activities and attend and support on site educational and practical groups.
    • Attend all youth-related meetings, including treatment meetings, RENEW meetings, IEP meetings, etc., as appropriate.
    • Foster relationships with community-based agencies to build connections and increase services for youth.
    • Provide structure and support for intakes and discharges, complete and/or oversee peer mentor checklists and personal item inventory and assist youth with orientation to program.
    • Ensure resident safety by monitoring and meeting basic needs, conducting and/or overseeing room and electronics searches, urine screens, and activities of daily living within the program.
    • Complete thorough documentation to include case notes, daily charts, incident reports, monthly reports, treatment goals/objectives, required assessments and/or discharge documentation within the identified timeframes.
    • Ensure that all overnight shift tasks are designated and/or completed, to include, youth supervision, donation inventory, cleaning and organization, preparing daily charts, filing in resident chars, ‘lock-up’ protocols, and all additional tasks as assigned.
    • Ensure that all services and documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and in compliance with accreditation standards, ethical codes, and licensing requirements.
    • Uphold the principles of Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) in all interactions with youth, ensuring fidelity to the model of care.
    • Support Resiliency, Empowerment, Natural supports, Education and Work (R.E.N.E.W.) model with youth, youth’s teams, and in collaboration with DCH’s R.E.N.E.W. team.
    • Safely administer medication for youth as outlined by DCH’s policy and procedure manual.

    OPERATIONAL

    • Ensure timely and effective communication with all stakeholders (family members and supports, guardians, case workers, community-based providers, etc.) regarding treatment, progress, and concerns.
    • Maintain electronic records, treatment documentation, and other youth needs in compliance with regulatory standards, confidentiality laws, and Dover Children’s Home policies.
    • Complete all training requirements thoroughly for role, agency, and license (if applicable) within the identified timeframes.
    • Participate as the point-person for on-call communications while on shift.
    • Maintain responsibility for the physical safety and cleanliness of the organization, including personal offices/office spaces and shared spaces in the programs.
    • Promptly report any household safety concerns to the Facilities Coordinator or Director Team.

    ADMINISTRATIVE

    • Follow organizational protocols for accepting and documenting donations, ensuring proper communication with relevant team members.
    • Represent the organization with professionalism and gratitude toward donors, emphasizing the importance of their contributions.

    FINANCIAL

    • Make fiscally responsible decisions that align with organizational policies, ensuring proper oversight and minimizing financial burdens on the organization.
    • Adhere to all financial policies and procedures to maintain accountability and transparency.
    • Communicate yearly budgetary needs and financial requests to the Youth Service Manager or Program Manager, as requested.
    • Ensure timesheets are up-to-date, accurate, and overtime is managed in a fiscally responsible way and review supervisees schedule and timesheets.
