  • Music Festival Returns to Dover with WMUR's Sean Mcdonald as Emcee-SNHUGFEST Celebrates 10th Anniversary on September 19

DOVER, NH – The Southern New Hampshire Ukulele Group (SNHUG) is proud to announce that WMUR's Sean Mcdonald will serve as Master of Ceremonies for SNHUGFEST X, celebrating the festival's 10th anniversary on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the Rotary Arts Pavilion in Henry Law Park in Dover.

This free, family-friendly music festival begins at 11:00 a.m. and invites music lovers of all ages to enjoy a full day of live entertainment, community fun, and charitable giving. The festival will feature performances by local and visiting ukulele groups, interactive play-along jams (so bring your ukulele!), raffle prizes, food vendors, and activities for the entire family.

All proceeds from SNHUGFEST benefit the Ukulele Kids Club (UKC), a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides music therapy and instruments to hospitalized children throughout New England and across the United States. Since its founding, SNHUG has raised more than $137,000 to support the organization's mission.

"This year's festival truly showcases what can happen when an entire community comes together for a great cause," said SNHUG organizer June Pinkham. "We're especially grateful for the support of our local businesses and community partners. From the Children's Museum of New Hampshire offering free admission after 1:00 p.m. to anyone wearing an 'I Donated' sticker, to the Dover, Rollinsford and South Berwick Lions Club serving delicious food throughout the day, it's inspiring to see so many organizations helping us make a difference for hospitalized children."

    • AMITY Publications
    • GFWC -The Dover Area Women’s Club
    • Coppal House Farm

SNHUG is an all-volunteer community organization that welcomes ukulele players of every skill level. The group meets twice each month for jams, workshops, performances, and open mics while using music to support charitable causes. SNHUG also hosts a monthly open mic at Milk Street Studios in Dover. More information can be found on Facebook and Meetup.
