  • Dover Rotary Club Sponsors SNHUGFEST X — Tenth Annual Festival Set for September 19

The Rotary Club of Dover has donated $1,000 to the Southern New Hampshire Ukulele Group (SNHUG) in support of SNHUGFEST X, the group’s tenth annual music festival and fundraiser benefiting the Ukulele Kids Club (UKC).

At a recent Rotary luncheon, Rotary Club President Rob Gagnon presented the sponsorship check to SNHUG member June Pinkham.

The Dover Rotary sponsorship will directly support the Ukulele Kids Club, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides instruments and music therapy to hospitalized children in New Hampshie and across the country.

Celebrating its 10th anniversary, SNHUGFEST X will take place on Saturday, September 19, 2026, beginning at 11:00 AM at the Rotary Arts Pavilion in Henry Law Park in Dover. The free, family-friendly festival will feature live performances by local and visiting performance groups, food served by the Dover, Rollinsford and South Berwick Lions Club, raffle prizes, workshops, interactive jams, and plenty of opportunities for audience participation.

The day will conclude with SNHUG’s popular Grand Finale, when audience members are invited to join the performers on stage for one final song. This year’s Master of Ceremonies will be WMUR’s Sean McDonald.

“This donation brings us to our 2026 goal of raising $140,000 in total for the Ukulele Kids Club,” said Pinkham. “It is an incredible honor to be supported by the Dover Rotary Club. They have been there for us for many years, and we are truly grateful for their continued generosity and commitment to our community.”

SNHUG is an all-volunteer organization whose mission is to bring people together through music while giving back to the community.
