Dover Holiday Parade Announces 2026 Theme

The Dover Holiday Parade Committee is excited to officially announce the theme for the 2026 Dover Holiday Parade: “Yule Be Sorry – Holiday Mishaps and Bad Decisions Tinged with Regret.”

Chosen through public submissions and community engagement, this year’s theme was submitted by Melissa Davis and brings a fun, humorous spin to the holiday season— tangled lights, burnt dinners, awkward family moments, and last-minute shopping chaos. Parade participants are encouraged to have fun with the theme and get creative as they bring the season’s funniest moments to life.

The parade is set for Sunday, November 29, 2026. “The community always brings incredible creativity and enthusiasm to the parade, and this year’s theme opens the door for some truly entertaining ideas,” said the Dover Holiday Parade Committee. “We cannot wait to see how local businesses, organizations, schools, and community groups interpret ‘Yule Be Sorry’ on parade day.”

In conjunction with the theme announcement, the Dover Holiday Parade Committee is now actively seeking sponsors to help bring the 2026 parade to life. Events of this scale require significant resources, planning, and collaboration, and community sponsorships play a vital role in making the parade possible each year.
