    POSITION DESCRIPTION

    Dover Children’s Home is seeking a compassionate, highly skilled Clinical Manager to join our dedicated team. This individual will work with youth ages 10- 21 years old, their families their support networks, and community partners to provide clinical oversight and implementation to support youth in healing from trauma. The Clinical Manager will be responsible for the development, oversight, and coordination of all clinical needs at Dover Children’s Home. This requires working directly with youth in the program, supervision of staff, operational support, and maintaining strong administrative and financial practices.

    POSITION SPECIFIC COMMITMENT

    SUPERVISION

    • Provide weekly formal supervision, 90-day evaluations, and annual performance evaluations to the Educational Coordinator, Family Support Coordinator, Clinical Coordinator and bachelor-level and graduate-level interns. Additional supervisees may be identified as a program need.
    • Prepare and attend weekly supervision with the Director of Residential Services.

    TREATMENT SERVICES

    • Treat young adults, families, colleagues, stakeholders, and community members with respect, empathy, and dignity at all times.
    • Support DCH’s Manager Team in coordinating coverage for day-programming needs to include supporting youth and clinical needs within the ratio requirements of the state through a trauma-informed lens.
    • Support referrals, facilitate interviews, facilitate clinical intakes, and lead clinically related discharges with consideration for the program needs and young adult voice and choice for the Level 1 and Level 2 program.
    • Provide a minimum of weekly individual therapeutic sessions with assigned youth in the program for up to (6) youth and oversee establishing connections to community-based mental health services to assist Level 2 residents with therapeutic intervention as clinically appropriate in collaboration with the Clinical Coordinator.
    • Oversee, approve, and support all monthly clinical groups for Level 2 residents as proposed by DCH Coordinators.
    • Provide clinical consultation, as necessary and requested, to all staff within the programs.
    • Complete thorough documentation to include case notes, monthly reports, treatment plans, incident reports, required assessments, and/or discharge documentation within the identified timeframes.
    • Review all Level 2 clinically based incident reports daily, make necessary edits/follow-up, and communicate with teams within 24 business hours.
    • Review all Level 2 monthly reports and provide to team within expected timeline.
    • Facilitate and/or attend all Mission Impact Alignment, manager team, and youth-led treatment team meetings, as identified and appropriate.
    • Provide oversight to the Clinical Coordinator for all clinical assessments required by the state of New Hampshire, including but not limited to CANS, CAT, etc.
    • Consult with DCH’s PILOT Program Manager for individual youth needs and identify community-based resources to connect Level 1 residents to identified supportive services, including but not limited to therapy, medical providers, and extracurriculars.
    • Facilitate and/or attend all Level 2 resident related meetings, including treatment plan meetings, RENEW meetings, IEP meetings, court hearings, etc., as appropriate.
    • Foster relationships with community-based agencies to build connections and increase services for young adults.
    • Collaborate with the DCH Volunteer Team to identify and train appropriate volunteers/mentors to engage youth with natural support and resources in the community.
    • Train all staff in the principles of Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) and uphold TBRI in all interactions with young adults, ensuring fidelity to the model of care.
    • Facilitate Resiliency, Empowerment, Natural supports, Education, and Work (R.E.N.E.W) model with young adults, their teams, and staff to at least 80% fidelity of the program, in collaboration with DCH’s R.E.N.E.W team and act as a R.E.N.E.W Coach to support the continued sustainability of the program.
    • Safely release and provide oversight of medication for self-administration, visits and school needs as implemented by DCH Coordinators for all youth, as outlined by DCH’s policy and procedure manual, and participate as part of DCH’s medication team.
    • Provide oversight of medication administration training and practice within standards and policies expected.
    • Provide oversight of and implement up to 6 months of after-care services to discharged young adults and organize and facilitate monthly resource night activities as appropriate, in collaboration with DCH’s after-care team.

    OPERATIONAL

    • Ensure timely and effective communication with all stakeholders (family members, case workers, therapists, etc.) regarding treatment plans, safety concerns, and stakeholder surveys.
    • Participate in hiring and onboarding process for youth-facing staff members by reviewing resumes, attending/facilitating interviews, supporting new hire orientation and facilitating additional ongoing training.
    • Review applications and support communication related to interns, including the onboarding process for youth-facing interns by reviewing resumes, attending interviews, supporting additional ongoing training, and having supervision oversight.
    • Provide competency-based training and/or delegation of training for all direct reports.
    • Ensure sustainability plan for all direct reports and delegate tasks as needed to support gaps in positions.
    • Train all DCH staff in TBRI and maintain records of training certification and TBRI supplies.
    • Complete all training requirements thoroughly for role and agency within the identified timeframes.
    • Participate in the on-call rotation for the L1 and L2 programs.
    • Maintain responsibility for the physical safety and cleanliness of the program, including personal offices/office spaces and shared spaces in the programs.
    • Promptly report any household safety concerns to the Facilities Coordinator and elevate needs and concerns of staff members to a director within a timely manner.

    ADMINISTRATIVE

    • Follow organizational protocols for accepting and documenting donations, ensuring proper communication with relevant team members.
    • Represent the organization with professionalism and gratitude toward donors, emphasizing the importance of their contributions.
    • Maintain records of licensing requirements and needs for all clinical staff.

     

    FINANCIAL

    • Participate in development of the clinical budget and identify needs for supervisees in collaboration with the Director of Residential Services, and Director of Business and Finance.
    • Provide initial financial approval for clinical related needs in a fiscally thoughtful way for final approval by Director of Residential Services.
    • Make fiscally responsible decisions that align with organizational policies, ensuring proper oversight and minimizing financial burdens on the organization.
    • Adhere to all financial policies and procedures to maintain accountability and transparency.
    • Ensure timesheets are up-to-date, accurate, and overtime is managed in a fiscally responsible way for all supervisees and approve timecards as appointed.
    • Review and approve timesheets of all supervisees and designated staff to honor and uphold scheduling hours within a fiscally responsible lens in collaboration with the DCH Manager team and Director of Business and Finance.
