    Job Overview:

    Small non-profit organization is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience with QuickBooks and a strong understanding of accounting principles. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and providing support for monthly and annual reporting.

    Key Responsibilities:

    · Manage Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process and categorize incoming invoices, make payments to vendors, and ensure accurate invoicing to the State.

    · Reconcile Bank Statements: Perform monthly reconciliations of bank and credit card statements, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.

    · Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, etc.) for management.

    · Payroll Processing: Timesheet and payroll processing as well as ensure accurate tax calculations.

    · Record and Classify Transactions: Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions in QuickBooks, ensuring proper classification for tax purposes.

    · Sales Tax and Compliance: Manage sales tax calculations and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

    · Year-End Support: Assist with year-end financial audits and provide necessary documentation to outside auditors.

    · Other Administrative Tasks: Assist with other financial or administrative tasks as required.

    Qualifications:

    · Experience with QuickBooks: Hands-on experience with QuickBooks

    · Accounting Knowledge: Solid understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping procedures.

    · Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly when managing financial records.

    · Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.

    · Communication: Ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial staff.

    · Proficiency with Microsoft Excel: Comfort with spreadsheets for financial analysis and reporting.

    · Familiarity with payroll and tax filing

    · Associate's Degree or higher in accounting, finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
