Please check all tasks you are interested in doing *
Detailed description of each task is listed below.
Vendor on Street Check In needed from 6 to 9 am
We have almost 300 Vendors and more than half of them have attended in the past. Repeat Vendors will know where to go and what to do, but others are new and need direction as to where their booth is, where to park and details about the festival. Our goal is to make their experience a pleasant one, so that they return each year. Prior experience on this task is preferred.
    Vendor Packing/Unpacking Assistance 6 to 9 am and 3:30 to 5 pm
As Vendors arrive in the morning we offer to help them unload their vehicles and get them off the street as soon as possible and at the end of the day we help them load their vehicle and guide them off the street.
Vendor Courtesy Assistance 11 am to 2 pm
Throughout the day we check in on all the vendors to see how they are doing, give them information on where the rest rooms are, what is happening at the festival for entertainment to share with their customers and offer to give them a break if they are alone and need to get away from their booth for a few minutes. Monitor general festival area for "lost kids," "roaming vendors," "securely weighted tents," and trash barrels.
Festival Maintenance needed from 10 am to 6 pm
A festival this large needs those who will help keep it clean and pleasant for those attending. We place trash buckets throughout the area that will need to be monitored as they get full. Full bags are pulled, tied off and a new bag is brought up from the bottom of the barrel. Dispose of the full bag into a larger trash barrel off to the side on the sidewalk area to be taken to the dumpsters at either end of the festival. Many hands make less work. At the end of the festival a garbage truck drives down through the festival and bags are barrels are dumped. Let us know if you have a truck available to help take bags of trash to the dumpsters at the end of the festival.
5K Road Race Volunteers needed from 7 am to 10 am.
This year is the 14th Annual Apple Harvest Day road Race. We generally have 500+ runners participate. Many volunteers are needed to manage registration or to be stationed throughout the race area for water or assistance to the runners. Friday night is registration and bib pick up for those who participants registered online. Saturday morning is registration and bib pick up and the actual race that starts at 8:30am and ends around 9:30am. Following the race, participants are able to enjoy North Country Cider in the cider tent area. We will need volunteers to help check IDs, hand out cups, pour cider, help with cleanup.
5K Cider Tent Volunteers needed from 9 am to 1 pm.
Once again this year we are partnering with North Country Cider to offer hard cider to race participants (or spectators) over 21. Following the race, participants are able to enjoy North Country Cider in the cider tent area. We will need volunteers to help check IDs, hand out cups, pour cider, and help with cleanup.
Please leave us any special notation you'd like us to know about that will assist us in placing you in the task you'd enjoy doing.
