UNH PROFESSOR DANTE SCALA ON “ELECTIO...Description
What led to the results of the 2016 Presidential election? What can we learn from it? The Seacoast Memorial Lecture Series is proud to present Dr. Dante J. Scala, Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of New Hampshire, discussing and analyzing “Election – 2016: What Just Happened.” This event is free and open to the public. Everyone -- Democrat, Republican, Independent -- is welcome. Please join us on Tuesday, November 15, 2016, 1:30 pm, at the Durham Evangelical Church, 114 Dover Road (Route 108), Durham, NH, to learn more about the issues and prospects of the unprecedented 2016 Presidential election. Dr. Scala has studied the changing political demographics of New Hampshire and beyond for more than a decade. His expertise is recognized nationally – you may well have heard or seen him on NPR, ABC, CBS, CNN, or Fox News. He is the author of The Four Faces of the Republican Party and the Fight for the 2016 Presidential Nomination (with Henry Olsen, 2015) and Stormy Weather: The New Hampshire Primary and Presidential Politics (2003). This is the second of two lectures in a special series, bookending the election. On Tuesday, November 1, 1:30 pm (same venue), we will welcome Dr. Dean Spiliotes of Southern New Hampshire University, speaking on “Election – 2016: Where We Are Today.” The Seacoast Memorial Lecture Series is a public service presentation of the Active Retirement Association (ARA). The ARA is supported by annual dues from its 300+ members who represent 35 towns and cities in southern Maine and New Hampshire.
