Moon Masquerade Ball: Dover Celestial Celebration at Aplomb

The Aplomb Project invites you to a Masquerade Ball that blends imagination, self-expression, and community, supported in part by The Dover Arts Commission. Free mask-decorating sessions will be held at Henry Law Park on August 7 from 6:30-8:30 and in the gallery on August 15, 22, and 29 from 12:30-3 with traditional and unconventional materials. We encourage you to create wearable artworks inspired by the moon, stars, zodiac signs, or personal stories of transformation. The project celebrates a simple but powerful idea: throughout Dover’s history, generations of people have lived, worked, gathered, and dreamed beneath the same moon. On the event night, desserts will be served, and drinks will be available by donation. We will have a vote for the most original mask, the most colorful, and the most unconventional! We will do kids' awards as well.
