‘In Her Shoes,’ a Women’s Heart Health Fair and Lunch & Learn
Wentworth-Douglass Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) will host ‘In Her Shoes,’ a Women’s Heart Health Fair and Lunch & Learn on Friday, Feb. 14, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Garrison Auditoriums at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital. Every year, heart disease kills more women in the United States than any other health condition. According to the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention, heart disease is a factor in roughly one out of every five female deaths. ‘In Her Shoes’ attendees will learn how to reduce their risk of heart disease from fellowship-trained women’s heart health experts: Dr. Whitney Coppolino of Wentworth Health Partners Cardiology at Pease and Dr. Nandita Scott of the MGH Corrigan Women’s Heart Health Program. Part of the presentation will include women’s heart health stories from real patients. A heart-healthy lunch will be served. To register for ‘In Her Shoes,’ visit wdhospital.org/events or call (603) 740-2818. Seating is limited and pre-registration is required.
