On Sunday, Oct. 16, Dover community members from all walks of life will walk for the hungry, beginning at the St. Thomas’ Episcopal Church at 12:30 p.m. (5 Hale St.). Greater Dover will join some 1,100 cities and towns nationwide to raise funds and build connections in the community, focusing on the theme of ending hunger one step at a time. The Dover Religious Leaders Association is joining with Dover Children’s Home, Our Daily Bread Food Pantry and the Dover Friendly Kitchen to organize this fundraiser. Last year’s walk raised close to $15,000. Twenty-five percent of the proceeds directly benefit local charities. You can register to walk in this year’s Greater Dover CROP Walk at https://www.crophungerwalk.org/dovernh/ either as an individual or as a team with friends and co-workers.
