Active Retirement Association Hosts Info Picnic
Enrich your life with the Active Retirement Association for the over-50 crowd, retired or not, by attending a Fall Kick-Off Picnic open to all. Learn about ARA Fall 2019 offerings in the open-air setting of Stratham Hill Park. The welcoming meet-up begins at 11:30 a.m. September 9 at the Stratham Hill Park pavilion, 270 Portsmouth Ave., Stratham, NH. A light, catered picnic lunch will be provided. All you need is a lawn chair and sunscreen. We have the rest. There will be plenty of information, and people to ask. Learn about the ARA and this fall’s wide-ranging, in-depth lectures and panel discussions on timely topics. Check out the small-group discussions on foreign and domestic issues, the Lets-Go-Learn field trips, the movies, the Science Thursday presentations and more. Consider ARA’s cultural tours locally and elsewhere in the Northeast. Or join ARA special interest groups focused on writing, painting, book discussions, genealogy, photography, stagecraft, hiking, cycling and more. The ARA, originally sparked by and affiliated with the University of New Hampshire, has grown into an independent organization with more than 400 members from Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
