  • Upcoming Events for Southern NH Ukulele Group

The Southern New Hampshire Ukulele Group (SNHUG) has had a busy year, hosting eighty-three performances/jams to date including fifteen beginner ukulele workshops.

These workshops are becoming more and more popular.  Upcoming beginner workshops include Epsom Library, August 14, 6pm and September 13 at 4pm as part of the Dover Chamber Local Expert Series.  We bring our collection of 40 ukuleles and have groups playing tunes within an hour!  We are delighted to share this happy little instrument with our community.

SNHUG will also be performing on Sunday, August 18 at 11am on stage at the New England Yoga Festival to be held in Northwood. www.newenglandyogafestival.com

SNHUG welcomes players of all levels, from complete beginners to seasoned performers and there are no attendance obligations – come play with us as your schedule allows!

To date, SNHUG has raised over $107,000 for charity, mostly for the Ukulele Kids Club (UKC). The UKC is affiliated with hospitals throughout the world including several here in New England.  To date, the UKC has provided over 15,000 instruments as well as music therapy sessions to children in need of a smile, as well as their families and caregivers. Studies have shown that the therapeutic power of music is an effective clinical tool for physical, cognitive and emotional rehabilitation in children.
