Northeast Credit Union Hosts Third Annual Nice Catch – Celebrating Kind Kids Initiative
Northeast Credit Union believes at the heart of every community are good people doing great things. That’s why Northeast CU has partnered with The New Hampshire Fisher Cats and The Portland Sea Dogs to host their third annual “Nice Catch - Celebrating Kind Kids” initiative. Nice Catch was created to recognize New Hampshire and Maine kids who consistently demonstrate compassion, empathy and kindness toward their peers, teachers, coaches, family and other community members and who go above and beyond to make our communities kinder and brighter places.
“During these challenging times, it’s wonderful to see that there are so many selfless kids in our communities aspiring to make the world a brighter place for all,” said Northeast Credit Union President and CEO Timothy J. Collia. “More than ever, we believe it’s important to shine light on these kind kids and share their stories so that they can inspire others to do the same.”
The Nice Catch initiative encourages teachers, coaches, youth leaders, community and family members to nominate kids age 18 and younger who consistently exhibit acts of kindness, empathy and overall helpfulness to make their communities a better and brighter place.
Twelve Grand Prize winners were selected this summer from the dozens of nominations submitted. Winners received a special video awards ceremony from either the Fisher Cats or Sea Dogs on Facebook, along with a jam-packed goodie box sent to their house with tickets to attend a game when fans are able to attend. Their tickets also include the opportunity to throw the ceremonial first pitch on the field.
Northeast Credit Union is proud to share their 2020 Nice Catch Kind Kids! Full stories on what makes these kids so kind can be found at thelyc.com/nicecatch.
