Southeast New Hampshire (SENH) Habitat for Humanity announces the appointment of Mr. Scott Christens
Portsmouth ˗˗ Southeast New Hampshire (SENH) Habitat for Humanity is delighted to announce the appointment of Mr. Scott Christensen to its eleven-member Board of Directors. Christensen is a managing partner at Northwestern Mutual and brings 35 years of business leadership and management experience.
Christensen’s experience as a financial advisor is an invaluable asset for SENH Habitat for Humanity. Christensen is passionate about helping people in need and it’s his personal mission to help people move closer to their potential. He has spent his career being responsible for other’s finances and is very familiar with fundraising and interpreting financial statements.
“Beyond food, shelter is next in need for humans to exist,” said Christensen. “Without a safe place to live, people do not prosper and housing today is so expensive! People need our help.”
Since 2018, Christensen has provided important insight and support to the growing organization, and joins the Board of Directors at a pivotal moment of strategic planning and growth. He also served on Habitat’s golf tournament committee and volunteered for numerous build days at the home being built in Rochester, NH.
“I’m excited to have Scott join our Board,” said Marcie Bergan, Executive Director of SENH Habitat for Humanity. “Scott’s enthusiasm and his board experience with Stay Work Play and Daniel Webster Council, Boy Scouts make him a great addition to the amazing group of people we have serving on our Board.”
Southeast New Hampshire Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that strengthen families and develop communities by partnering with corporations, like-minded community groups, faith-based organizations and individual volunteers to build and renovate simple, decent, affordable homes with hard-working people who are in need.
