• Northeastern Ballet Theatre (NBT) announce the addition of new conditioning class

    Northeastern Ballet Theatre (NBT), New Hampshire’s premier ballet company and training school, is pleased to announce the addition of a brand new 45 minute dance weekly conditioning class beginning Wednesday, January 15 at their Dover studio (The McConnell Center, 61 Locust Street, Suite 239, Dover, NH) at 4:30pm. Taught by NBT instructor Naomi Sawyer, the class will address strength, flexibility, and cardio needs specific to ballet dancers based on current research. Ages 11+, adults welcome! Each attendee will need to bring their own mat. Individual feedback and adaptations will be provided for all levels of experience. Besides being a principal dancer for NBT, Naomi Sawyer has been a licensed physical therapist for 19 years, working in outpatient neuro rehab with a specialty in Vestibular rehab. She is a member of the International Association for Dance Medicine and Science, as well as a principle dancer with NBT. She is devoted to evidence-based practice and instruction, and providing the most upto-date education and care to her clients. Naomi is passionate about bringing together her knowledge as a therapist with her experience as a dancer to help other dancers fulfill their potential and “dance longer, dance stronger!”.
