Dover Main Street, a non-profit dedicated to downtown revitalization, took a precautionary step by announcing it will postpone its Run Before You Crawl 5K Road Race and restaurant crawl to be held on Saturday, March 14, 2020. The new date will be determined as soon as public safety concerns related to COVID-19 are mitigated. All runners and crawlers will have their registrations held until the race is rescheduled.
Known as a community building event, among the hardest hit will be the participating restaurants who have spent time and money preparing for the city-wide annual event. “The epidemic is upsetting events across the region and the country amid concerns of transmitting COVID-19,” said Erin Tellez, Chair, Dover Main Street. “We felt rescheduling was the responsible thing to do.” All registered runners and crawlers will be contacted by Dover Main Street with more information on the postponement. www.dovermainstreet.org/rac
