New Hampshire Coalition for the Support of Service Dogs Receives Grant
New Hampshire Coalition for the Support of Service Dogs receives grant from the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation as an operating grant to provide financial assistance to those with service dogs in the state of New Hampshire and to educate the public about service dogs and to advocate for service dogs and their owners.
The New Hampshire Coalition for the Support of Service Dogs recently received a $5,000 grant from the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation. “The grant will help further The New Hampshire Coalition for the Support of Service Dogs’ (NHCSSD) mission to help service dog owners provide their working dogs with the best quality of life possible by offering financial aid for veterinary bills and creating a statewide network of businesses and individuals willing to offer some sort of support to service dogs and their owners.”
The New Hampshire Coalition for the Support of Service Dogs (NHCSSD) vision is to create a world class organization where service dog owners have access to the resources and support they need to care for their dogs and where service dogs can freely accompany their owners in public places. The NHCSSD's vision is based on the belief that service dogs play an important role in the lives of people with disabilities. Service dogs can provide a variety of tasks and assistance, a few examples are assisting with mobility, providing companionship, and alerting to medical problems.
