Local Author Jadyn Stevens Holds Book Signing at HRCU
Rochester, NH – Local author Jadyn Stevens held a book signing on July 6th at HRCU’s Rochester Main Office. Those who attended were able to get a free signed copy of her book Sergeant Major “Dad”.
Sergeant Major “Dad”, a book written and illustrated by Stevens, tells the story of a girl whose father is deployed by the Army to Afghanistan and how her family deals with the deployment. This is inspired by real-life experiences as David Stevens, Jadyn’s father, is a Sergeant Major in the U.S. Army.
The first Saturday of each month at HRCU branches is M3 Money Club Kids Super Saver Day for their youth account members. Members are encouraged to come in to make their deposits and participate in a fun monthly youth activity. With this month’s event being so close to the start of our summer reading program, it was a great opportunity to have Jadyn come in and share this story that is relatable to so many children around the country.
“We were excited to be able to have this event with Jadyn and have her meet members and sign her book” said HRCU President & CEO Brian Hughes. “We cannot wait to see what she does next.”
