Great Bay Services Receives Community Support
Great Bay Services received more than $9,000 in additional support, thanks to the generosity of the Seacoast community. Great Bay Services provides assistance to more than 180 individuals with disabilities in New Hampshire and Maine.
Each month The Fabulous Find in Kittery selects three area nonprofits to receive the store’s proceeds. Great Bay Services was one of the recipients for July, along with The Krempels Center and Victoria’s Victory Foundation. Each organization received a generous check for $7,500.
Great Bay Services also recently received a $1,000 donation from Sprague Energy. Sprague is committed to helping the environment - a mission shared by Great Bay Services with their Outdoor Discovery Program. Other recent corporate donors to GBS include Webster at Rye and Stewart Property Management.
Great Bay Services was founded in 1954 by a group of parents who refused to send their children with disabilities to the state institutions. Sixty-five years later, GBS is still on the forefront of innovative and progressive programs for adults with disabilities in the Seacoast.
