  • Eastern Orthodox Holy Week

    Join the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church for the ancient and unique celebration of the passion and resurrection of Christ during Eastern Orthodox Holy Week.

    Eastern Orthodox Holy Week will take place from April 25 to May 2.

    Some highlights of the week:

    - Daily service of Christ the “Bridegroom” recounting the last days and teachings of Christ – Palm Sunday, Holy Monday, & Holy Tuesday evenings, 7 pm.
    - The passion vigil which includes the moving re-enactment of the crucifixion – Holy Thursday evening, 7 pm.
    - The removal from the Cross & burial of the body of Christ – Holy Friday afternoon, 3 pm.

    - The burial lamentation and outdoor procession of the tomb of Christ – Holy Friday evening, 7 pm.

    - The celebration of the Resurrection and Paschal (Easter) Liturgy, Holy Saturday night, 11 pm.
    - The Vespers of Love which includes the proclamation of the Gospel in multiple languages – Easter Sunday, 11 am.
