Dover Chamber’s Smart Business Series will explore the topic of time management
The Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the lineup for its fall Smart Business Series, sponsored by Eastern Bank: If not now, when? Tips and tricks for managing your time. This year’s three-part series explores the topic of time management, including learning how to prioritize, identifying and using the correct resources, and finding a home/work/life balance.
The first session in the series is titled Urgent vs. Important: How to Know the Difference, and is scheduled for Wednesday, October 16, from 8 to 10 a.m. Presenters include Jim Horne of Beacon Business Coaching, Eris Sessler of Eastern Marketing Services, and Pam Thomas of the UNH Department of Health Management and Policy. The session will include short- and long-term goal setting as well as tips and tricks to getting organized.
Session two, Being Resourceful with Your Resources, features Holly Stark from Human Resource Partners, Kelly Aho and Alexis Hall from Bonney Staffing Center; and Christine DeAngelis from Epiphany Consulting Group. They will help attendees understand options for staffing resources, alternative benefits for employees, and the importance of a good training program. This session is scheduled for Wednesday, October 30, from 8 to 10 a.m.
The final session in the series, Finding Balance; Knowing When and How to Unplug, covers ways to self-motivate, best practices for stress management, and finding work/life balance. Featured speakers are Andrew Clark and Marielle Ceresa from Upright Acupuncture & Wellness, Angela Carter of Calypso Communications, and a wellness expert from Harvard Pilgrim Health Care. This session meets Wednesday, November 13, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.
