Carrie DiGeorge joins twelve-member Board of Directors at SENH Habitat for Humanity
Portsmouth ˗˗ Southeast New Hampshire (SENH) Habitat for Humanity is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Carrie DiGeorge to the twelve-member Board of Directors. DiGeorge has served on SENH Habitat’s family selection committee for years and brings 20 years of experience in housing and residential lending to the growing organization.
SENH Habitat for Humanity offers affordable houses to deserving families in both Strafford and Rockingham County. “There are very few affordable housing units in the Seacoast Area and it’s critical that organizations like Habitat continue to thrive and grow,” said DiGeorge. “We build affordable housing with families, who otherwise might never realize the dream of owning their own home and I’m honored to be a part of the Habitat team.”
The organization works diligently to educate and help their partner families become responsible homeowners and active community members. DiGeorge has become an invaluable asset to SENH Habitat for Humanity and is eager to jump in and utilize her skillset to help prepare partner families for homeownership.
“Carries addition to the Board just feels right,” said Marcie Bergan, Executive Director of SENH Habitat for Humanity. “She has been part of our team for years now and making it official is a natural progression. We are lucky to have her join us in this capacity.”
SENH Habitat for Humanity is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization that works to strengthen families and communities through affordable homeownership opportunities in Southeast NH.
The organization works in partnership with corporations, like-minded community groups, universities, individual volunteers, faith-based organizations and donors to develop communities by building and renovating simple, decent, affordable homes.
