Primary Responsibilities : To adequately and effectively provide for the credit related needs of members within the policy, objectives and goals established by credit union management. To provide financial counseling to members in order to improve their financial lifestyles. To perform the activities associated with providing lending services to the membership. To be accountable for exercising prudence, skill and judgment in the extension of credit to members. Is responsible for producing a high volume of good quality loans to achieve a profitable return on member equity.
To recommend procedures and policies to management, as needed, to ensure member service objectives are being achieved and to ensure the credit union’s smooth and orderly operation. To provide advice and guidance to other personnel regarding lending objectives, policies and procedures within the scope of this position.
Education : Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required; a two or four year college degree is desired but not required and may be substituted with relative experience.
Experience : Minimum of 2-3 years of similar or related experience. Minimum Level II lending authority; Level III preferred. Credit union lending experience highly desired.
