Description
What does it take for an old man to find peace? Having been kicked out of every city he has ever lived, Oedipus, the one time king, finds himself on the doorstep of the King of Athens begging for shelter and protection. In return, he promises Theseus protection if he is allowed to live out the rest of his life in his city. However, where Oedipus is, trouble comes not far behind. From his daughters getting kidnapped and his sons waging war, he knows his time is coming to an end. How will he make use of what is left? Will he bring peace to his sons? Will his daughters, who love him beyond belief, be allowed to be with their father through his final days?
This tale of familial war and haunting pasts is being presented as a part of The Oedipus Cycle: A USNH Collaboration. The University of New Hampshire, Plymouth State University and Keene State College have joined forces to present a trilogy of Greek plays. Come see the whole trilogy performed on one stage!
