Join us on Saturday, September 29 at 2:00 pm in the Library Lecture Hall to learn about and create Rube Goldberg Machines! What is a Rube Goldberg Machine? “Rube Goldberg machines are all about creating a machine (or contraption or invention or device or apparatus) that uses a chain reaction to accomplish a very simple task in a very complicated manner.” The “complicated manner” is what makes it fun—you get to use your imagination and creativity. We will watch a few short videos of what Rube Goldberg Machines look like and how they are made, and then let you create your own machines with household and recycled items we will have on hand. Grades K and up invited. All materials provided.
