SUMMARY:Working Together to Prevent Mental Health Crisis
DESCRIPTION:Dover and our surrounding towns are working to break mental health stigma and prevent suicide. Mental health challenges and in some cases mental health crises affect everyone at some point in their lives. We want to help support positive mental health and stop challenges before they turn into crisis.\n\nWe invite you to a regional community event\, Thursday\, March 13th from 6-8:30 p.m. at Dover High School for an evening dedicated to learning about mental health supports and information\, including people in our community who's job it is to keep people safe and healthy.\n\nThe evening begins with a community resource fair introducing organizations and pro-social opportunities that youth\, parents and all community members can access.\n\nWe'll then transition to a key note address from the amazing folks at American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). Lastly\, we'll hear from five experts in our community who will present information in a panel-style forum\, answering questions about what they are seeing\, and the things they are doing to help those experiencing mental health challenges and/or crisis safe and connected to resources.\n\nPizza and salad will be provided\, free of charge\, courtesy of AFSP. This event is open to anyone in Dover and the surrounding towns. All are welcome.\n\nPlease mark your calendar and come learn about mental health supports in our regional community.
