SUMMARY:Dover Mental Health Alliance Community Meetings
DESCRIPTION:The Dover Mental Health Alliance (DMHA) is a grass roots\, community-driven coalition dedicated to mental health education\, stigma elimination and suicide prevention. The DMHA meets monthly and is an open community meeting. All are welcome. At our monthly meetings\, we learn about various aspects of mental health\, mental illness\, suicide prevention. We work together as community partners to be part of the solution of changing our culture and driving the point that mental health challenges are a HEALTH challenge. When we talk out loud about this health challenge\, it can lead to decreased stigma which in turn empowers people to feel that they can get the help they need without shame or discrimination. For up to date meeting changes and additional information\, contact Suzanne Weete to be added to the DMHA's distribution list. \n\n\n\nThe Dover Mental Health Alliance Vision \n\nA culture that understands\, embraces and addresses the complexities of mental health. \n\nMission \n\nTo build a resilient community that is educated\, responsive and conscious of the impact of mental illness.
